As you know, we have been given guidelines from Alberta Education that mandates we provide 5 hours of schoolwork per week focused on literacy and math. September 27 Terry Fox Run

On Friday, September 27 th , Royal Oak School and William D. Pratt School will be participating in the Terry Fox Run.   Students will gather on the field between the two schools to take part in the annual 30-minute run, which is scheduled to begin at 11:00am.     Students attending afternoon Kindergarten are welcome to attend, if they are accompanied by a supervising adult. On this day please ensure that your child is appropriately dressed for the weather (including running shoes).  If the weather is poor, students will walk inside the school during their PE class time. We are encouraging students to wear Royal Blue to show their school spirit! We are asking that each child donate a “Toonie for Terry” for the Terry Fox Foundation during the week of September 23 rd -27 th .   All parents/guardians who are interested in joining their child/children in this event are more than welcome. Welcome to Ms. Fournier's Grade 3 class! I am super excited to be learning and teaching along-side your student this year. My name is Jennifer Fournier. Now, a little bit about me. I have two fantastic children and quite a few fur babies. My son, Corbin, is going into grade 11 this year and my daughter Felicity, is starting grade 9. We have two sweet cats, a very vocal guinea pig, an energetic hamster and a feisty hedgehog. I have a huge soft spot for animals and we have begun fostering for the Calgary Humane Society. My teaching philosophy is centered around empathy. It is most important to me that your student feels safe, comfortable and loved at school.
